Do airtime minutes spent on a cell phone’s web browser count toward your free minutes?

Posted on December 30th, 2009 by admin

I have a plan with 200 free minutes per month, and the 1X Mobile Browser. Do airtime minutes used on the browser count toward the free plan minutes, or are they charged separately?

Depending on the company, most web browsing is charged by the kb, and not by the minute. If you have free minutes, but not free browsing, then you’ll be charged, either by the page, download or kb, again, depending on the company you have your service through.

Your minutes are usually not part of browser usage. This is measured in DATA or Kb’s used. If you do not have a DATA plan on your cell package I’d talk with your Wireless Service Provider before browsing anymore. Although you may have access to mobile internet, without a package or Data plan, the costs can get high very fast. Be carefull what you do before speaking to your provider!!!!
