What is the best web browser to use?

Posted on February 1st, 2010 by admin

I currently use Mozilla Firefox as my default web browser. I’ve been thinking about switching to using Google Chrome, but have been hesitant about the switch because I’ve used Firefox for about two years now and it would be difficult to get used to anything else. Is Google Chrome better than to use than Firefox? Or is there an even better web browser out there?

Have you tried out the newest Internet Explorer – IE8? From a security standpoint, IE8 is a much safer browser than previous versions. In fact a new NSS Labs study shows that Internet Explorer 8 is the best browser for protecting consumers against malware and phishing attacks. Read more here: http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2009/08/13/real-world-protection-with-ie8-s-smartscreen-filter.aspx.

It also has many new features such as web slices and accelerators.

You can learn more about IE8 as well as download it here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/default.aspx?ocid=ie8_sm_b

How do I get my favorite sites to autumatically load when I open up my web browser?

Posted on January 30th, 2010 by admin

When I go on the internet, I generally check the same 5 or 6 sites. How can I set up my web browser to automatically bring them all up at once?

This is rather simple, but this solution only applies to Mozilla Firefox.

On your browser, select Tools->Options, then set your homepages like this:

http://www.yahoo.com | http://www.flickr.com | http://www.facebook.com

As you can see, there are these separators "|" found between each and every individual site you want to open at startup.

Hope this works.

The previous owner of my laptop changed the background for the web browser. How do I change it back?

Posted on January 26th, 2010 by admin

As I said the background was changed on the web browser. Its always a white background with pink font. How can i change it to show whatever the default background is for a website. I have firefox and internet explorer and it the same on both. Oh and there kind of older versions of each, if that helps.

If its vista, go to Control panel > Appearance and Personalization > Personalization > and its most likely windows color and appearance or theme. Or one of those options there. You can change it from there. Hope this works.

Your Web browser is configured not to run script or doesn’t support script in Web pages. Check your browser settings, or use a browser that can run script.

I have changed all of the settings back to what they were originally because I thought that was what caused it. Any ideas?

What Browser Are You Using?Try Google……

How do I put music on my psp with the web browser on the psp?

Posted on January 18th, 2010 by admin

When I log into the web browser on my psp is there any ways to get music directly from there?
If so, how?

There is a website called aimini.net. It’s not the best site but you can get the songs directly from there. Search what song you want. Then go to it and save the song to Music Folder when it asks for the location. Some songs may require you to make an account.

How do I change my SSL protocol settings on my web browser?

Posted on January 15th, 2010 by admin

I have set up an ebay account but cannot sign in or bid etc as I get a message saying that my web browser and the site cannot communicate securely! Any suggestions, thanks in advance.

as far as I know there’s no such thing as SSL protocol
SSL is secure socket layer the protocol used hear is HTTP
When HTTP used with SSL its called HTTPS
HTTP used port 80 HTTPS used port 81
The reason you can not access MAY BE because your firewall, router, proxy server or what ever may not allow permission to port 81
So this can not access problem (as how I think) has to be a problem with your security systems not the browser
