How safe is it to have 2 web browsers?

Posted on February 26th, 2010 by admin

Hi guys well the thing is that I have Safari as a default browser and I also want to have google chrome as en extra web browser to do the fast surfing and other stuff that Safari cant do. So I just wanted to know if by having two web browsers will that cause problems to my computer? I have Windows Vista.

Both browsers are quite safe, and you’ll be fine. As long as you have a firewall or anti-virus device, provided you stay away from Internet Explorer, I doubt you’ll encounter any issues.

How do I get Flash Player to work with other browsers?

Posted on February 24th, 2010 by admin

I just got a new Vista computer, and it came with Internet Explorer 7 and Adobe Flash Player (and all the other plug-ins many other sites use). However, every other browser I download (such as Firefox and Google Chrome) requires me to reinstall it, and I can’t do that either. Is there some setting that I may be missing to allow those to be used by other browsers?

If you are not "allowed" are you being prompted for a password? If so, you need admin privileges and will need to supply the password or change your user type to Admin.

How do i fix my browsers? Firefox and Safari stop working when I visit many websites.?

Posted on January 30th, 2010 by admin

I’m on a Mac. Firefox and Safari seem to stop working when ever I go to certain websites. (Not bad websites, it happens frequently such as like youtube and local news websites). During loading, I get the pinwheel of death and I have to force quit the browsers. I think it might be a flash problem. Anyway, if you know how to fix this, please help. And I am really dumb, so instructions will be appreciated.

Dunno about Macs, but on a PC it’s usually IE8 needing to be reset to Defaults in, Options, Advanced.

How does internet browsers affect your actual internet speed? L?

Posted on January 18th, 2010 by admin

Like browsers say some are faster than others. But if you have the same internet speed all the time, how do the browsers have anything to do with it?

it’s efficiency with the processor and with ram, not with the connection speed

i just downloaded google chrome and it is seriously the fastest web browser i’ve seen (it’s going very very efficient on the processor and on the ram)

How do I position a div element using css and how do I make my web page look the same in all browsers?

Posted on January 2nd, 2010 by admin

Say I make a div class called "maincontent", how do I position that container in the center of the page? And how do I make my web page look the same in all browsers (or just the main 3) without re writing all my code from scratch??

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<title>Sample Test Page</title>
<style type="text/css">
<!–
#maincontainer {
width: 1003px;
margin-right: auto;
margin-left: auto;
background-color: #CCCCCC;
}
–>
</style>
</head>

<body>
<div id="maincontainer">Your Contents will be here</div>
</body>
</html>

Dont forget to add the Doctype on top. While creating your html, preview in all browsers once u add anything to the code. Dont wait until you finish the page….

Can I get two browsers to show different ip addresses?

Posted on December 30th, 2009 by admin

I know that all browsers one one computer show the same ip address. Is there a way to get around this? Is there software that allows me to change the ip of only one browser?

Try with JAP ( http://anon.inf.tu-dresden.de/index_en.html ) or TOR ( http://www.torproject.org/ ) or simple with free proxies from http://www.proxyblind.org

How to control two browsers at the same time?

Posted on December 19th, 2009 by admin

Is there a mouse clicking type of program that lets me control two different browsers at the same time? for example say I have Internet Explorer and Firefox up at the same time, I want my mouse to move around one browser and have the other browser like copy it. Anyone know of any programs that are like this?

Sorry, but I do not believe that is possible.
