I keep receiving a message that says I need to enable javascript on my browser. How do I do it?

Posted on November 20th, 2009 by admin

I have downloaded the latest flash player as suggested several times to no avail. This keeps my Facebook games from loading. Then the message says to enable javascript on my browser. My browser is AT&T Yahoo. How do I enable javascript?

Remove the flash players, remove the javascript, Never use sites to get these,
Go to adobe.com get the official flash, go to java.com , get official java. Restart, check your browser for them being enabled now.

How to block browser based chatting programs like google chat in gmail and yahoo chat in yahoo mail ?

Posted on November 17th, 2009 by admin

I want to block all types of messengers like yahoo messenger, google talk and msn messenger etc. At the same time users are able to chat by opening their mail box in web browser and from the browser they’re chatting. How do I block all these messengers and chat programs?
Is there any appliance available for this job?

Do you really want to block them? If you just don’t want people to chat to you, you can set your status to offline in both google and yahoo chat. Just open your mailbox, wait for the chat to load and set your status to offline.

How do I create a Flash site that fills the entire browser without scrolling?

Posted on November 14th, 2009 by admin

What I mean is this…
I wanna build a complete Flash website, but I do not want any borders.
I want the flash page to fill the entire browser without having the visitor scroll horizontally.
So, whether the visitors Resolution is 1024 by 768 or 1600 by 1200, the entire browser space would still read Flash.
Help? Anyone?

Has NOTHING to do with resolution, but the browser’s window size being used at ANY resolution. Some browser sniffer scripts work to detect window size of browser and make adjustments according to CSS/HTML file possible linked to under different conditions.

How to make parts of my web page invisible to the browser?

Posted on November 11th, 2009 by admin

I have used the sign <!- to make it temporarily invisible. It works in my computer. But, some others are complaining that they still see the old texts that are supposed to be invisible. May be, they are using older version of browser. Can you please confirm that the problem is with older version of internet explorer? Or, it is also a problem with other other browsers? If yes, what can I do to make invisible universally to all browsers of all ages?

Hello,
the html comments should work in all browser if you use them properly
[start with 4 characters] <!–
[followed by new line]
here is commented something
[followed by new line]
[close with three chars] –>

Or you can use style, which is pretty safe, it works in most browsers and it is the way you should do it – use style="display:none;"
so for example your
<input name="email" type="text" value=""> becomes
<input name="email" type="text" value="" style="display:none;">

<table> becomes
<table style="display:none;">

and so on…. can be used on any displayable element – images, divs, labels….

hope this helps

How do I find my deleted browser history?

Posted on November 3rd, 2009 by admin

Someone borrowed my computer. The internet browser is set to automatically delete the history when it is closed. I am positive there is a way around this, that I can access the browsing history somehow, but I have no idea how to do it. Please tell me how I can access this browsing history on my computer – it is very, very important! Thank you!

Hello!

In that case I recommend to use SYSTEM RESTORE.

Go to
1) START – HELP AND SUPPORT –
2) click on ‘Undo changes to your computer with System Restore’
3) click on ‘Restore my Computer to an earlier time’
4) select the date before you gave your computer away and after a few minutes it will be restored to ‘that day’.

good luck!

Why the browser keeps asking for internet connection although I’m already connected to the wifi?

Posted on October 25th, 2009 by admin

I am using Firefox 3.06 and my OS is vista home premium. the main problem is when I’m browsing the internet is that whenever the browser asks for internet connection (although I’m already connected to wifi) all my pages which are still loading halt, or rather stop, until I cancel the question asked by the browser.

You may possibly have a virus on your machine that’s trying to dial an internet connection. Make sure your anti-virus is up-to date and run a full virus scan.

Also go into Control Panel > Internet Options and go to the Connections tab then select "Never dial a connection" if it’s not selected already.

How do I make my browser recognise background colour in dreamweaver?

Posted on October 23rd, 2009 by admin

My dreamweaver default browser does not recognise my bacground when I go to print. It just displays a white background instead of the black background that I specified in the css sheet. All of other css aspects are recognised.

Most browsers have a preference setting along the lines of "Do not print background colours and images" – this saves a LOT of ink / toner. There is NO way to override this from a webpage.

It is generally best to write a stylesheet targeted at print media that uses a plain which background.
