You know how when you serach for something on google or type something into the url search bar, the searches get saved? Well i was wondering how i could delete those. I know that windows already comes with their deletion browser software inside it, but that isn that good. What is the best way to get rid of all my searches?
I use mozila firefox, btw.
Ok. First you could should go to <tools> on the top of your screen, then go to <options>, after that go to <privacy>, from there you can choose how long your history will last, if you want to accept cookies from sites, and if you want to erase private data when you close you browser.
Now just to make sure go to <history> than click on <show all history>
it should say no items and then your done I do it a lot.
Good Luck!

What you are referring to is your browser cache.
You can delete it from an option in the Tools menu called Clear Private Data.
Note that the data is never actually permanently deleted.
It stays on your drive even if you do delete it.

You have to perform a "secure delete" to remove information permanently. This is the only real way to erase information off of magnetic media. This works by encrypting the data and deleting it many times over until its nothing more than unreadable code. Shredding is another technique but not nearly as effective. Also. The US Dept of Defense endorse "secure delete" as the only way to permanently remove data. Check out this link.
