What is the best internet browser for a dial-up connection?

Posted on February 18th, 2010 by admin

I just recently got a new Dell Inspiron laptop with Windows 7. It also came with a Internet Explorer as my internet browser. But I have heard that Firefox is a much better browser. I would like my computer to as fast as it can with this slow dial-up connection. I just want my computer to have the best. (explain your reasoning please)

I’ve used both and I find Firefox much better than IE.

I’ve been using Firefox for 3 years. From my own experience, Firefox does take more memory than IE, but it’s safer and it never crashed.

IE can be a virus carrier. Firefox is not. Firefox doesn’t secretly save all your browsing data including your passwords in a file called index.dat file which you can’t delete. Firefox’s ‘Clear Private Data’ option is straight forward.

Plus you get lots and lots of themes and extensions with Firefox. Check them out here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/

What is the best web browser for my computer and please tell me why?

I am using Firefox right now. But I also have Safari. I do not use Explore anymore.

I think Firefox is quite popular, but I am not quite sure why ? I have been using this web browser for a while I forgot how special this is compare to the rest…

How do I instantly start the incognito browser of google chrome without keying ctrl+shift+n?

Posted on February 16th, 2010 by admin

Normally when you start an incognito browser, you will first start the regular browser of google chrome and press ctrl+shift+n. But how do I put a shortcut on my desktop to automatically start the incognito browser?

You can also start it from the tools tab at the top of the page, I don’t know if there is a way to make it open to incognito automatically.

what are the restrictions of the photos on the PSP photo and in the internet browser?

Posted on February 16th, 2010 by admin

I want to know the maximum size, height, length & formats of photos viewed in the photo column of the PSP and the PSP internet browser.

There is nothing like that. you can view any size & length as long as it is in jpeg format. The only thing you should consider is resolution. The higher the resolution, the bigger the file size. With bigger file size, you can only store few photos on to you memory card. Since PSP has small screen, 500kb size should be enough @ 480×600 resolution.

Does it cost money to use the web browser on the Verizon Voyager?

Posted on February 16th, 2010 by admin

I recently got the Verizon Voyager and I went to the web browser and was able to go to google and other websites. I don’t remember reading anything about it costing money if I use it, so will I be charged? Or is it totally free?

unless you have Internet plan it will cost you I think its between 10 and 25 cent per KB downloaded, so if you plan to use the net on your phone it would behoove you to get a media plan.

After System Recovery how do I attach IE browser?

Posted on February 14th, 2010 by admin

Afer a System Recovery in Windows XP I think I will have to get a new internet connection as well as need a browser. (I am currently using IE8). How do I do these
things?

Hello,

I’m not quite sure I understand what you are asking, but it seems to me like you would like to know how you could get a new Internet connection and/or browser. If you would like a new Internet connection you would have to go to your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and upgrade your speed if that’s what you need; but if you’re not happy with your current ISP then you will have to look for another company that provides Internet service and speak with them about what plans they have. Now, to get a new Internet browser you will need to go to http://www.google.com/ and from there you will need to type in what browser you would like. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Safari, Google Chrome; those are just some examples of basic Internet browsers that people use these days. If that was not the answer that you were looking for, then please feel free to contact me for furthur information.

Is an Internet browser a part of the operating system of a computer, or application software? (This question?

Posted on February 14th, 2010 by admin

Is an Internet browser a part of the operating system of a computer, or application software? (This question was central to a major antitrust case between the United States and Microsoft about ten years ago.) Discuss reasons why the browser would be considered a part of the operating system, or application software.

if its internet explorer it is installed with a windows operating system so i would say its microsofts problem ..

how do i get the archos "web browser plug-in" or the Widgets for free on my Archos 605 wifi?

how do i get the archos "web browser plug-in" or the Widgets for free on my Archos 605 wifi?

You can’t. When you order the plug-ins they are encoded to the serial number of your Archos, so it will only work for that machine. You could probably download from other sites but they will not work.
