Posted on January 23rd, 2010 by admin

I got board of runescape and I just gave up World of Warcraft so I am expecting something good.

Fallen Sword is a very nice web browser based MMORPG

http://www.fallensword.com/?ref=1472892

From the introduction of the game:

Fallen Sword is a highly addictive, continuously evolving massively multiplayer roleplay game where you join players across the globe in a world of fantasy and adventure. Traverse vast areas ranging from the Misty Mountains to the mighty City of Xinderoth and beyond. You will battle countless creatures such as Dragons, Zombie Kings, Undead Warriors, Giant Scorpions and defeat them to gain powerful items to arm yourself with as you walk the realms in search of adventure and glory.

You will also be able to engage in combat with other players, become a bounty hunter, craft and create your own items, and engage in countless quests. You are also able to join one of many thousands of player-created guilds where you can meet like minded players and team up to defeat champion and elite creatures. Guilds can store or borrow items and construct guild structures giving its members considerable advantage, strengthening the player to face the horrors found in the world of Fallen Sword.

Wireless says it is connected but the browser will not work?

Posted on January 23rd, 2010 by admin

I am running windows vista service pack 1. The weird thing is I can connect to servers on a online game (Armegettron) But when I try to go on my browser it says it has no connection. Anyone know any solutions?

check the proxy settings in your internet explorer. if there is any, remove it. To check your proxy settings to ensure they are not the cause of the problem, click on the TOOLS button in your browsers menu bar , in the tools menu, click on INTERNET OPTIONS, now click on the CONNECTIONS tab, then click on LAN SETTINGS, check if the USE A PROXY SERVER or USE AUTOMATIC CONFIGURATION SCRIPT boxes are checked. If the boxes are checked, remove checkmarks from them and save settings.

Posted on January 23rd, 2010 by admin

I changed a few settings in my web browser to reduce pop ups, and then I got this message while trying to access an email account:

Your Web browser is configured not to run script or doesn’t support script in Web pages. Check your browser settings, or use a browser that can run script.

I have changed all of the settings back to what they were originally because I thought that was what caused it. Any ideas?

How do I block YouTube.com in my IE browser, to keep myself from wasting time?

Posted on January 19th, 2010 by admin

I tried the restricted sites dialog in Security under Tools menu in IE, but this just gave me the activex warning when I go to youtube. I want IE to completely keep me from getting through to the web site. How can I do this?

Edit your "hosts" file:
if on XP: c:\windows\system32\drivers\et c\hosts (no space between the t and c)
Add the line:
127.0.0.1 www.youtube.com
Save and close the file.
Try going to Youtube.

If i download FireFox browser would i be able to watch youtube videos?

Posted on January 19th, 2010 by admin

i have windows 7, 64-bits, internet Explorer browser. not able to watch youtube videos because i can not download flash player. it has something to do with 32-bits and 64-bits.
i do not want to change to 32-bits.
what should i do?

Here’s my best advice.

Try out EasyMovieConverter.com . It is a free online converter that is on the web page so there is nothing to install and is totally safe. It uses the HD versions of the Youtube videos, so you get a true 128kbps stereo and the highest video quality hands down. There are many options to boot such as mp3, video for windows, iPod, PSP, cell phones, and even MOV for mac.

Just a quick how-to to get up and using it fast:
1. Grab the link/website address to the video to convert from Youtube.
2. Go to http://www.EasyMovieConverter.com and enter the url on the text box on the main page.
3. Choose the type to convert it to.
4. Hit the download button. When it is converted, a button to proceed to the download page appears.
5. Download it, and enjoy.

how do i permanently delete web browser history?

Posted on January 19th, 2010 by admin

You know how when you serach for something on google or type something into the url search bar, the searches get saved? Well i was wondering how i could delete those. I know that windows already comes with their deletion browser software inside it, but that isn that good. What is the best way to get rid of all my searches?
I use mozila firefox, btw.

Ok. First you could should go to <tools> on the top of your screen, then go to <options>, after that go to <privacy>, from there you can choose how long your history will last, if you want to accept cookies from sites, and if you want to erase private data when you close you browser.

Now just to make sure go to <history> than click on <show all history>
it should say no items and then your done I do it a lot.

Good Luck!
