Posted on December 21st, 2009 by admin

I am able to use gprs in phone web browser but i m not able to use it in any application which uses gprs i live in Mumbai n i use Reliance gsm and Mtnl trump pls help

May be you haven’t selected the right access point as preferred. Goto ‘Menu’ and select ‘Settings’ -> ‘Configuration’ -> ‘Preferred access point’ -> (select the access point which you use for the web browser, but make sure that you have the full GPRS connection).

Please suggest me some website from where i can downlod free web browser software 4 using GPRS in Nokia 6610i.

Of course, the Nokia 6610 comes with a wml browser. But if that doesn’t do it for you, you should check out Opera’s mini browser for cell phones. You can find it at the link below.

How to get the internet browser on wii for free?

Posted on December 21st, 2009 by admin

A lot of people got the wii when it first came out and the browser was free, but i just got my last week and they charge for the internet channel….how do i get it for free?

You can’t. You have to buy it for 500 Wii Points.

Nintendo should just make it free, because a lot of people ask the same damn question of (not saying you are, but,) "Can someone gift me the internet channel?" and they don’t even give their Wii Console number. Those questions are annoying.

Why does my browser close upon opening a java applet?

Posted on December 21st, 2009 by admin

When I click on a link to a web-page that contains a java applet, my browser automatically closes. I have tried this in different browsers and I have the same problem. Any ideas?

It sounds like your Java VM (Virtual Machine) is faulty.

My advice is to uninstall the VM or make sure you have an up to date version of the VM.

The VM is shared between all of the browsers, which is why is occurs in all browsers.

To uninstall the VM, click into your Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs (Programs and Features if you’re using Vista.)

Look for a program called "Java (TM)" or "Sun Java" or something similar.

The very old version of the VM is called "Microsoft VM" but I doubt you have got that installed because it was finished a long time ago.

Uninstall all of those, there may be more than one.

Restart your computer.

Then go to the following web site:

http://www.java.com

Click on the Free Java Download button and install the latest version of the Java VM.

You normally get diverted to a test page when the install is finished, so just confirm that it now works properly.

How can you create a batch that makes a message pop up when you open the Internet browser?

Posted on December 21st, 2009 by admin

I’m trying to create a batch so that when you open up the Internet Explorer browser, a window pops up with a custom message that I choose. I want it to be close-able and only open once.

@echo off
echo.
echo This is the message that you wanted to show yourself
echo It can be multiple lines if you like. It will appear in a
echo command prompt window and wait for you to press a key
echo.
pause
%1

Copy the above code into notepad and save the file somewhere that you can find it. Name it "iex.bat". Change the text that I typed to match the message you want to display. If you want to add more lines, each line must begin with the word "echo". Blank lines are created by typing echo with a period on the end.

Now go to the shortcut you use to open internet explorer from your desktop or startmenu and right click on it. Click on "properties." In the dialog that appears, there is a space called target. Do not delete what is there! just click on it and then hit the ‘home’ key on your keyboard to take you to the beginning of the line. Type in the file location of the batch file you just made, and add a space at the end. For example, mine looks like this:

C:\mypath\iex.bat "C:\program files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe"

Click OK, and it should run every time you click on that shortcut. This will work for any shortcuts you have.
