I downloaded Firfox and now its set as my default browser. I would like to have the original IE as my default explorer. How do I do this?
Tools > Internet Options > Programs > Make default.
On my old computer I got the CD from AT&T Yahoo and I downloaded and set up my DSL on it and it came with the Yahoo browser. But now I have a new computer and its Vista and it’s a laptop. I used WiFi to get the internet on it but of course I didn’t get the Yahoo browser because I didn’t download the CD to it to get it. Where can I go to download the browser to my laptop?
Go to your "att.my.yahoo.com" homepage.
In the upper right, click on "Member Center"
Click on the "Products & Services" tab
Under the "My Internet" heading you’ll see the AT&T Yahoo Browser icon. Click on it
On the next page, you’ll have the option to download it.

Only firefox, and IE8 work on that wifi, Skype, steam, and other programs do not. How can i make those programs work? Do i have to open up ports or something? i would like to able to use ftp and other things as well.
They restricted it for using other things besides browsing websites..

If you were to cover Internet Explorer 6&7 and Firefox you would have approx 93% of the market covered. If you have time to go further I would also recommend Safari and Opera.
Definitely make sure it covers those 3 however. Version 6 of IE is very high still since a lot of people don’t like the changes made in 7 and stayed with the old one.
I have an HP laptop. After I wake the computer from Standby, occassionally Internet Explorer or FireFox will freeze while loading a page. The only way to remedy this is by holding the power button for 5 seconds to force the computer off. I cannot exit the browser, and if I try to shut down or restart it will begin to close programs, but then it will not continue.
Typically it is what thay call a software conflict, two or more activities are competing and this may freeze your screen. check your notification area in the lower right corner of your task bar and see what programs are there, some could be running in the background possibly causing the problem.
I`m having a problem which needs fixing. When I click on a weblink to open in a new window, it does not load. It`s like the web browser does not capture the website address and is blank.
It was working before, however since I downloaded a few programs, it has been dysfunctional. I removed all the programs, but still not working either.
I`ve made various antivirus and spyware scans, but it`s not solving the problem.
Any solution to my problem, please help.

set up a home page in your browser tools menu for most all broswers on windows
if that doesnt work check the firewall settings
clear your cookies
do a virus scan
do a spyware/adaware scan
if all else fails go to firefox

it is more then likely you got a virus and your virus program isnt picking it up…….

I want to get internet on my DS lite but i hear that DS browser doesn’t support java or flash. And i hear you can’t watch videos or play games. So my question is, is there any other browsers i can get for my DS lite?
no their isn’t any other way but if you were really wanting to get on the internet with your ds go to game stop and trade it in for a dsi their have a special where you can trade your Original in for a new one and only paying 40$
