How do you get a browser to auto-download an ActiveX control?

Posted on October 29th, 2009 by admin

I’ve made a site, and an ActiveX control to go with it (in an <OBJECT> tag), but it only works on computers that have the dll already installed… I want the browser to ask if the user wants to download the control when they visit the site, because I’ve seen ActiveX controls being asked like that.
Does anyone know how I can achieve this?

You have to get your digitally signed. There’s some information at the bottom of http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/webtech/091698-1.shtml

do you need paid internet service on your phone to use a free web browser?

Posted on October 29th, 2009 by admin

i dont have internet, but say if i downloaded something like skyfire, would it be able to use wifi and let me surf theinternet for free?

if your phone has wifi, you can use your homes wifi network to access the web with your phone….

if your phone does not have wifi, then you will need a data plan to access the internet, regardless of if you use the phones browser, or download a third party browser…

Posted on October 29th, 2009 by admin

Hello, I’m using Internet Explorer. Sometimes it doesn’t go as fast as it should. I’m thinking about downloading a different web browser. Please Help. Thanks.

IE isn’t very good, and a lot of other browsers exist. The most popular and customizable is Firefox. The slickest is Google Chrome or Safari. The innovative browser is Opera, social Flock, and versatile Maxthon or Lunascape.
